Adventure begins

Our adventure has begun. Both of us will continue to this blog, sharing our journey. I am writing from the City Island Public Library outside New York City and Brian is composing on his laptop -- wireless. Hopefully, you will read more about our adventure soon.

Well, a little late, but Bon Voyage! I'm sure that anything you haven't already brought onboard, you won't really need.

Enjoy your adventure. My sister is in France, my brother will be joining her in Spain, and now you two are cruising down the East Coast. I'm looking forward to the updates . . .
and pics!
All the best to you.

Susan, Brian,

Again sorry we couldn't meet in Annapolis.

During our pre-show visit we enjoyed watching the preparation for the show. Work started at 10:00 PM Sunday night with the clearing of parking areas around the inner harbor. We saw the pilings for the floats driven into the harbor bottom and the chains of floats brought in and attached on Monday morning. Many of the show boats were in place Monday as well.

Plus we discovered a number of new restaurants (to us) in town, including the Officers Club in the Naval Academy, which had good food cheap.

I’m sure you’ve had good weather for your stay in Annapolis. Have a great sail south. We’ll look forward to reading your blog as you progress.

Regards,

Barbara & John

What a wonderful diary! As you could probably tell, there was no reason to call you and check the wind the day after the Oyster Roast, all I needed to do was look out the window.
Hope you are holed up somewhere neat while the current wind situation eases a bit.
